A refreshing two mile run in the fog this morning at 35 weeks pregnant. Nice and easy, contractions during the second mile, but nothing to be concerned about. Always feels good to run!

Had another great teensy run this morning.  I had been dreaming about going on a 6 mile run, but chickened out.   Sarah, how far did you run when you were in your final weeks?

I did have two events on the run 1.) a rock in my shoe, which I had to shake out, and then balance on one foot to get my shoe back on 2.) a big orange cat meowed at me until I stopped to pet it.  Then it cried and cried as I ran away.  Very strange!  I hope it didn't need me to save it's kittens or something.

I am learning that I really need to exercise more faith.  Faith that the spring really will come, and that I really will have a baby!  And of course, faith to eat right, that it really does matter in the long run!  :)  I'm starting today to be more watchful of what I eat, perhaps try on the Sasha good conscience diet.  I want to be thin and happy for my kids too.  I weighed myself this morning and saw a number I don't think I've ever seen before in my life!  And I have 5 weeks to go!

Thank you so much for all your friendliness and support already, I can see that this blog is a wonderful thing to have found!  Happy Saturday to all of you!

What a beautiful run!  The mountains were gorgeous and the moon was breathtaking.  The only sound I could hear was the crunch crunch beneath my feet or the occasional car speeding by.

I even picked up the pace at the end and found myself laughing out loud it was so much fun!  Thanks for all the encouragement, it helps me get out.  I was actually excited for the alarm to go off this morning at 5:30!!

I thought I'd pass along a yummy recipe my midwife shared with me.  This is for a delicious green drink:

Stuff lots of spinach in the blender.  Add a banana and apple juice.  I like to liquefy it and then run it through cheesecloth so the texture is smooth and not gaggy.  The blend of flavors is surprisingly delicious!  It is also good with OJ instead of apple juice.  The banana makes it taste tropical, and the vitamin C in the fruit juice helps us absorb every bit of the iron in the spinach.  I really like the power punch this drink gives me!

Hope y'all have a great day!

It's a great day to be alive.  With warm germade in my belly, and a nice little run behind me, I think I'm ready for this day!

I just told my sister-in-law and my brother about this blog, so they may be joining us soon!  They have their sights on a Spring marathon, and they hale from the beautiful world of Oregon!  I know you'll love them, they are a lot of fun.
